Empowering Initiatives for Lasting Impact

CFC Bridge Network

The Community For Change Bridge Network is a grassroots, people-powered movement rooted in solidarity and mutual aid. We respond to community needs with love, action, and collective power, building connections that strengthen our resilience and capacity to care for one another.

Shared Values

Solidarity, Not Charity: We work together as equals, building relationships rather than imposing solutions.
Community Care: We prioritize taking care of each other as an act of resistance and liberation
Collective Power: We believe in the strength of community organizing to create lasting change.
Respect and Dignity: We honor each person’s humanity and unique contributions.
Joyful Resistance: We center joy, creativity, and celebration as integral parts of our movement.
Participatory Governance: We make decisions collectively, valuing community input and shared leadership over hierarchical control.
Purpose: To mobilize our community in times of crisis and opportunity, meeting immediate needs while building long-term power through direct action, resource sharing, and grassroots organizing.

Why we created the Bridge Network:
  • We’re living in a time of increasing need—economic hardship, rights under attack, rising fear and instability.
  • Systems meant to protect us are failing, and more people are falling through the cracks.
  • We can’t wait for rescue. We are the bridge.
  • The Bridge Network is about connecting people across Montgomery County who are ready to respond, to show up, to care for each other in real time.
What it actually is:
  • A community response network—grassroots, people-powered, built on shared values and mutual aid.
  • People can sign up to offer help or ask for help—or both.
  • It’s about activating our community in moments of need—whether that’s:
    • Protesting injustice
    • Donating supplies
    • Showing up for someone at risk
    • Giving rides, sharing food, providing shelter
    • Supporting local action
This isn’t charity—it’s solidarity:
  • Mutual aid means everyone has something to give and everyone has something they might need.
  • We’re not here to save people—we’re here to stand with each other.
How to get involved:
  • You can choose how you want to show up—actions, aid, spreading the word, showing up when people are threatened, or organizing.
  • We’re building something that will grow over time—and we want you in it.
    • community meeting Sunday May 18th 10am location TBD
Final message:
  • The world we want won’t be built from the top down. It will be built across bridges like this—person to person, hand to hand, heart to heart.
  • You are the bridge. We are the bridge.
  • Together—we can hold the line, meet the moment, and build what comes next.
